Tier4 Data Center Group, Inc. is an Omaha, NE privately held Technology Consulting Company providing Data Center technology services to regional and national businesses. Our services are focused on helping businesses manage Data Center technology challenges while providing data center design, strategic planning, assessment, issue resolution, procurement & commission, project & change control, best practices, risk mitigation, and standards & compliance management services.  Tier4 Data Center Group is “Your Data Center Partner”.

Phil Tomek, President
Mr. Tomek is the President and co-founder of Tier4 Data Center Group, Inc.  His expertise includes data center design, strategic planning, total cost of ownership (TCO) management, data center operational “best practices” management, and data center relocation management.  In addition; Mr. Tomek has extensive expertise with data center cooling & energy-efficient computing analysis.  Prior to co-founding Tier4 Data Center Group in 2006, Mr. Tomek was the CIO at an Omaha, NE based information communications company.  Mr. Tomek possesses 25+ years of experience in the Information Technology industry which includes extensive experience in a multitude of industry sectors.

Martin Conroy, Senior Vice President
Mr. Conroy is the Senior Vice President and co-founder of Tier4 Data Center Group, Inc.  His expertise includes data center design, power redundancy design, cooling design, data center commissioning management, and data center infrastructure management.  In addition; Mr. Conroy has extensive expertise with power quality, harmonics & grounding analysis, site analysis, code compliance analysis, and power quality monitoring.  Prior to co-founding Tier4 Data Center Group in 2006, Mr. Conroy was the President and founder of Computer Power Consulting Corp.  Mr. Conroy possesses 25+ years of experience in Data Center design & management which includes extensive experience in a multitude of industry sectors.  In addition; Mr. Conroy is a published author on and teaches power quality, grounding, and compliance.

Mission Statement
Tier4 Data Center Group’s beliefs and actions center around one core concept…. Partner with all to do it right!  We strive to do what is best for our customers, strategic partners, vendors, and employees. Tier4 believes that helping others is the key to success in every part of life and business. We hold to the truth that as we serve and assist others we will build trust and relationships that will be mutually beneficial to all. We hold ourselves to the highest ethical and moral standards and place respect, family and relationships as the most important part of our core values. 
With these core values as our principal cornerstone Tier4 Data Center Group recognizes that growth is not the focus for our decisions, customer guidance, and recommendations on a day-to-day basis.  With this core belief we acknowledge and accept this contradiction for a typical business-model.  
Tier4 Data Center Group also understands the difficulties and challenges facing businesses today, and we practice within and are committed to all who embrace the essential actions to promote engaged employees.

Tier4 Story
In many situations the formation of a business emerges under the disguise of creating great wealth for all involved or some derivative thereof, and in fewer cases it materializes with a passion to make or provide great value for all that utilize it.  The formation of Tier4 Data Center Group did not occur with a “get-rich and retire quick” business plan, but rather occurred with a philosophical cornerstone that transitioned into a mission statement to partner with and serve others while building trusted relationships.  When core values are so important to the mission, time is required which is exactly what occurred with the formation of Tier4 Data Center Group.

Over a decade Phil Tomek (former CIO at an Omaha, NE based Information Communications Company) dealt with numerous Data Center issues that many companies are dealing with when rapid growth, higher business demands, and financial challenges prevail.  Over time he recognized the challenge of sorting out the options to quickly meet business demands while maintaining a strategic blue print.  In search of quality solutions Phil had the opportunity to utilize Martin Conroy’s 25+ years of experience on a number of Data Center challenges and projects.  Over time both Phil and Martin recognized the blend of experience and skills that allowed them to rapidly expand, relocate, assess, strategically plan, insure diversity, and manage risk for Data Center environments while supporting the every-day business demands and stressed IT budget.

Thus, the formation of a powerful partnership knowing that Martin (President and founder of Computer Power Consulting Corp) operated as a steward of the company at all times.  Martin quickly became a trusted partner and sounding board to all strategic decisions.   It was the blend of Martin’s 25+ years of experience related to Data Center infrastructures, 25+ years of business savvy while overseeing his own business, in conjunction with Phil’s 25+ years of IT and management experience while dealing with technical and managerial issues in a number of environments that initially powered the partnership.  They rapidly realized that the blend of each other’s unique experience leveraged effectively created a multi-view of the demands and issues that ultimately generated more powerful solutions.  And, over time they both instinctively realized that a potentially stronger component of the partnership was their core values that fostered the absence of individual gains in search of what was right for the company. 

With the synergies that existed they embarked in 2006 on forming a company to harness the solutions that were developed over the previous decade.  The company name of Tier4 Data Center Group was quickly agreed on which correlates to the industry tier classification of data centers where Tier4 is the highest level of reliability and performance.   Phil and Martin understood that in order for companies to be successful in today’s competitive market, the performance, reliability, and financial management of their data center is a critical cornerstone.  Tier4 Data Center Group was solely created and its services are exclusively focused on partnering with companies in these challenges.  Thus, the Teir4 Data Center Group tag line: “Your Data Center Partner”.

Tier4 Data Center Group’s mission statement was simply developed and is ultimately focused on our core belief of partnering with companies to provide better Data Center solutions.  Since the founding of Tier4 Data Center Group in 2006 this belief has led us to develop extensive total cost of ownership (TCO) models and energy-efficient computing models that allow customers to make un-tainted decisions that align with their strategic business plans.  Tier4 Data Center Group’s “vendor-agnostic” position in conjunction with its core mission statement (partnering with customers to create smarter solutions) has fostered these results.  Proposed customer solutions have, more than not, directed customers to powerful results that ultimately lower their cost and indirectly mitigate Tier4 Data Center Group’s efforts.  Thus, the reason for a central belief and strong mission statement that transpired into the formation of Tier4 Data Center Group, Inc.
